Planning:

having prepared the agriculture action plan for the district, they now help prepare farming strategies for cluster of villages to organize their activities. The SETU’s who are being supported to set up agriculture service centers are getting this planning done.

Training:

to ensure that every region has a trained group of para professionals to support the practice and marketing of organic production, Satvik in collaboration with ACT impart certificate courses to the local youth.

Organic Certification:

satvik has set up a strong ICS (Internal Control System) for farmers to maintain the documentation of their organic practice so as to obtain certification for marketing. They have worked with IMO, Control Union & Indocert to help farmers get certification.

Market facilitation:

SATVIK Promoting Ecological Farming has collaborated with Oasis Agritech Ltd. to help certified farmers get premium markets for their produce. So far more than 200 farmers have soldpulses, cotton and wheat to national and international buyers. They also manage a shop in Bhuj and promote buyer seller meets.

Conservation:

Satvik Promoting Ecological Farming hopes to initiate a program on seed and local variety conservation to develop the crop diversity of the region.
